What We Do
Board Policies and Administrative Procedures Committee (BPAP)
Reporting to the Superintendent/President, BPAP is the college-wide committee and consultative body for Board policies and administrative procedures. BPAP is charged with identification of and recommendations for all Board policies and administrative procedures legally required by state and federal law and the Accreditation Commission.
SBCC undertook a major project to update all Board policies and administrative procedures and align them with the Community College League of California Policy and Procedure Service system. The BPAP Committee was given this project responsibility, and concluded the original project in June 2016.
Additionally, BPAP is responsible for the ongoing review, updating and maintenance of this material to ensure policies are legally current and in accordance with Title 5 of the California Code of regulations.
Board policies and administrative procedures are published on the SBCC web site where they can be readily accessed.
BPAP is comprised of representative members from all constituent groups including a student appointed by the Student Senate. The Vice President of Human Resources serves ex officio as the committee chair.
