What We Do

iPATH is a new program designed to ease the transfer process for eligible students. iPATH class sizes are small (25-35), with an emphasis on student success. Tutor support, interactive learning and more engagement with your instructor and peers is the iPATH focus. Additional support services, such as academic counseling and career counseling is built into the program. iPATH courses are all General Education courses taken from the IGETC and CSU GE patterns. 


iPATH Program Benefits

Students enrolled in iPATH are guaranteed the following:

  • Small classes
  • Tutorial support
  • Dedicated academic and career counselors
  • Applied learning
  • Streamlined course planning
  • Campus field trips



Students interested in enrolling in an iPATH course must:

  • Be eligible for English 110 or higher; and
  • Enroll in 1 or more iPATH courses
  • F1 Visa students are ineligible for this program 


Academic Commitment Required from iPATH Students

iPath students must:

  • Make a personal commitment to transfer
  • Complete a comprehensive Student Educational Plan (SEP) with a SBCC academic counselor
  • Enroll in math and English courses each semester until transfer requirements are completed
  • Remain in good academic standing.
