A Message from Pamela Ralston
Interim Executive Vice President, Educational Programs
Santa Barbara City College is one of the most naturally beautiful campuses in the nation. Our main campus sits on a bluff overlooking the harbor and Pacific Ocean where the “mountains meet the sea”.
From my office window, I see students coming to campus to begin their day of studies and to ultimately transform their lives. As I wander around campus, I see students participating in one of our credit, non-credit, or lifelong learning programs. I see students learning and being mentored by our college’s outstanding, award-winning professors and teachers. I see faculty and staff working to enhance student success both in and out of the classroom through our numerous student support programs and services. Although natural beauty surrounds, I feel it is these views that truly are the best views on campus.
I want to thank you for considering Santa Barbara City College. If you are a current student, we are proud to have you as part of our family and community. If you are considering attending, we invite you to join. Take a look at our nationally recognized programs and services and see why Santa Barbara City College is the best choice for your education. I can’t think of a better place to live and learn.
It is the mission of Santa Barbara City College to provide a diverse learning environment that inspires curiosity and discovery, promotes global responsibility, and fosters opportunity for all. The Office of Educational Programs is responsible for providing the student programs and services designed to fulfill this mission. As you will discover from exploring our vast array of programs and services, our dedicated faculty, staff, and administrators work tirelessly to help students achieve excellence in all aspects of academic life.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the college’s instructional programs, School of Extended Learning, or student support programs and services.
Again, welcome to the SBCC family.
